We only sell bees these months?:

We sell what we call Carolina Queens or Carolina Honey Bees. The bulk of their genetics come from what most would call European, Western, or Italian honey bees — Western honey bees adapted to our region, North Carolina?. In the end, our bees are mutts, which we think is a good thing - we are not so reliant upon strict pedigree. We are reliant on behavior and performance.
Limited orders only!
We are currently limited in quantity and geography. We only serve small-scale, Raleigh-Durham regional beekeepers at this time. In other words, we don't ship bees by mail at this time. I.e., bees are currently only available for pickup!
We select for these traits, in this order:
- Strong brood laying pattern.
- Survivability.
- Hygienic behavior.
- A gentle, happy, bee-nature — of course!
How are we different?
- Customer service — the quality of our queens is guaranteed?.
- Our hives are chemical free — in line with our Certified Naturally Grown status and principles.
- Regionally selected — as adapted to our region? as possible.
- As genetically diverse as possible — we bee trade with other breeders to improve our stock?.
