Bee Inspired Food

Starting in 2010, The Carolina Bee Company will be offering a selection of other foods based on the products of the hive: honey, beeswax, and maybe even propolis and pollen. For example, this year we produced and test marketed a limited supply of Kudzu and Honey Jelly. It was a resounding success. We are currently in the process of producing Honey Vinager — so very unique and hard to find. Stay tuned!

At this time, it looks unlikely that The Carolina Bee Company will be offering a selection of other foods based on the products of the hive. Government regulation, as we understand it, makes it nearly impossible for us to sell prepared or preserved foods. For example, we would have to build a separate commercial kitchen. So, selling you a simple jar of honey peach preserves looks to be potentially illegal. We'll keep y'all informed if we figure out a solution to this problem. Stay tuned!
